“I love horror movies but I hate the “jump scenes” every time I watch a horror film with a jump scene I end up having a hysterical breakdown. I had to watch Women in Black (2012 version) in school and I had a hysterical breakdown. For me horror films that contain the jump scenes aren’t considered a horror film”
“horror movies don’t normally scared me but I almost shit myself watching the woman in black”
“I just randomly read through the Woman in Black tag and honestly, anyone who’s seen the movie or not, go and see the play!! It’s so much better than the film and it’s honestly alot scarier”
“The Woman in Black was the first horror movie I’ve seen in Theaters and I didn’t get scared till the very end when the Woman was coming down the hall and screamed at the top of her lungs. I only jumped because It was too Loud!”
“Movie theater experiences make such a difference. I saw The Woman in Black on opening night and the crowd was horrendous (loud giggly teen girls). I originally didn’t like WiB but after a second watch I realized I liked it and I was just associating it with that bad experience.”
“The new Woman in Black, even though it’s nothing special, I love it and the old-fashion feel it has that a lot of movie’s don’t have anymore.”
“When my friend told me The Woman In Black was the scariest movie she’d ever seen, I rushed to see it, honestly, I was utterly disappointed. I did not jump, I did not scream. The movie itself was alright, but as for it being scary? It wasn’t.”
"It drives me crazy when people complain about the ending to the Woman in Black. Killing Arthut and his son was not a sign that the Woman in Black wasn’t going to be stopped. She was giving Arthur his family back by reuniting him with his wife - the same way he reunited her with her son. I found it beautiful and touching, and I shed a tear or two."
I thought the ending was one of the best movie ending’s I’ve seen in years to be honest.
“I saw Woman in Black several times in theaters and was never afraid. Now that I have it on DVD, I’m too afraid to watch it at home and I don’t know why. I mean, the Woman in Black is just a female Dementor - isn’t she?”
“I once had a dream where I realized I was dead, Sixth Sense style. The Woman in Black was there, and considering that movie never phased me before, I am now terrified of it.”
“The Woman in Black is one of the best horror movies I’ve ever seen. Don’t get me wrong, I love the classics like Psycho and the 80’s cheese like A Nightmare on Elm Street - but The Woman in Black is the best horror movie to come out in the last ten years.”
"I’ve watched a lot of horror movies. Ranging from PG - M18, slasher, ghosts, monsters, whatever. And yet, Woman in Black, which over here was rated PG13 is the scariest movie I’ve ever seen."
“I finally got around to watching The Woman in Black, and to be perfectly honest, I found it very dull. And when it wasn’t that, it was relying too much on false scares. I did love the costumes and photography, however.”
