"The remake of House on Haunted Hill is far superior to the original. We all love the ‘59 version, but it gets pretty goofy and isn’t scary at all. And I hate to say it, but Geoffrey Rush nearly matched Vincent Price in terms of acting. Seriously: rewatch it."

“I know it is regarded as a horrible movie and remake, but I think House on Haunted Hill (1999) is legitimately frightening. I actually don’t mind the cheesy dialogue since it allows me to catch my breath.”

“When I was a little girl, about 4 years old, my mom used to take me to the library every week, where they used to rent out VHS tapes. One week I asked my mom if we could get a scary movie. We rented House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price. Every week after that, we would rent a new scary movie and watch it together: Psycho, The Birds, The Bad Seed, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, the list goes on. I can singlehandedly thank my mother for introducing me to what horror is all about.”

“I sincerely believe that the remake of House On Haunted Hill (yes it IS a remake idgaf if they changed the names, the premise is the same) is an embarrassment to the original.”
