“Eden lake upset me because you could sympathize the characters completely. The fact that it was just local kids too is even more disturbing. You routed for jenny to get out alive so much and it was just so depressing that she never. Still a brilliant movie though.”

"I’d never understood the mechanics of mob violence. How can a group of basically ordinary people suddenly become a mob of murderers or rapists. I always thought, surely there must be one decent person in that group who will stand up and say ‘this is wrong’. Then I saw Eden Lake and it explained perfectly how decent people can be bullied into committing horrendous acts against their will. That scares me more than any movie monster ghost or serial killer."

“Eden Lake gets me very emotional…even if I’m not watching it thinking about how Michael Fassbender’s character died and how chilling the ending really is.”

“I respect Freddy, Jason, and other “freaks”, they have really good reasons for what they’re doing. But when the bad guy is a “normal” human, they usually piss me off. Like the kids in Eden Lake or the family in Mother’s Day. They have no right to ruin peoples lives-“

“I cried like a baby when Michael Fassbender was being tortured in Eden lake. I’m not squeamish, but i just loved his character so much.”

“When I knew Steve was going to die in Eden Lake, I was incredibly sad and angry at the same time. Then when the kid put on his glasses at the end it made me even angrier.”

“Eden Lake was absolutely horrifying, especially when they set the one boy on fire. It haunted me for days.”

“The ending of Eden Lake is such a piss off. I wanted to see those kids destroyed and begging for their lives. Seriously, big piss off of an ending”
