“I feel like this Carrie remake is gonna be kind of a disaster. I mean, no one can replace Sissy Spacek and the eerie feeling she left.”
"I don’t get why people are saying Chloe Moretz can’t be Carrie because she’s skinny, blonde & pretty. Well what is Sissy Spacek then? See my point? Also, to the people saying she can’t be Carrie because her characteristics aren’t what Carrie is described as in the book, when has a movie EVER GONE BY THE BOOKS?! I believe I just made 2 valid points. Carrie isn’t about what is or isn’t in the book, Carrie is about a girl standing up for herself because she was bullied. Why don’t people see that"
“I’m really excited for Carrie because my mom watched the original when she was my age (and she was scared shitless, even though I wasn’t when I saw it, go figure) and now I get to watch the remake. It’s like cute, in a morbid way”
"I hate when people say they want the new Carrie to be as good as the original. The original was shit, I hated it and that’s probably because it was nothing like the book plus it wasn’t even scary or thrilling or anything. The remake already looks better in the trailers."
“I actually read the book, Carrie so I’m really hoping the new movie really does it justice because the book was amazing”
“I don’t understand why people are frightened by ‘Carrie’. It makes me cry to no end that she had no one to turn to when she needed them the most. And her’Momma’ stabbing her in the back made me weep harder because Carrie thought she was safe in those hands. The only frightening scene to me is shower/ prom. ‘Carrie’ will always be my favourite Stephen King.”
"I’m more excited for the new Carrie than I probably should be. I think it looks amazing and I love Chloe Mortez as an actress."
“I know it’s an old film and I love it so much. But I hate how Tommy dies in Carrie. I mean, come on. Death by bucket.. It’s pretty ridiculous. I hope they make his death more interesting and believable in the remake.”
“Chloe Grace-Moretz will never be able to replace the phenomenal Sissy Spacek but I think she will do quite well in the Carrie remake!”
“Carrie remake looks so good! I think that Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore will be amazing, and I hope that there are some good deaths in the prom scene.”
“I cried when those awful people poured the pig’s blood on Carrie. Especially after seeing how happy she was to be prom queen, it just absolutely broke my heart. I was unable to talk to anyone the rest of the night… And as incredible as a movie it was I don’t think I’ll be able to watch it again anytime soon. I think I could relate a little more than I wanted to.”
“I’m a little worried about the new Carrie because I’m not sure how I feel about her learning about her powers early on( I like how in the original she just figures it out and let’s it happen in the end), but it still looks SO awesome.”
She did know in the original. Remember in one of the opening scenes she flips the ashtray off the principal’s desk and then flips the kid off his bike? And she looks through the books in the library like it shows the does in the trailer of the remake
“I’m really interested in the new Carrie adaptation coming up, and I really, really hope it doesn’t suck, because if done well, it can be AMAZING.”
