“Carrie 2002 was the stupidest remake I have ever seen. I hate how Carrie lived in the end. That’s not how it was in the book!”

“The 2013 Carrie was tolerably mediocre at best. Flat, unmemorable performances, miscasting galore (couldn’t buy Chloe as Carrie for a second), an over-abundance of CGI special effects to distract the audience from its poor pacing and storytelling, a tone that felt more like a Lifetime movie about bullying instead of genuine horror, and with it being a virtually scene-for-scene remake, dialogue and all, one wonders why so many fans insist on calling it a “re-imagining” to begin with.”

“While the 2002 tv-movie version wasn’t the best, i still think that Angela Bettis is the best Carrie so far. Something about her seemed very real.”

“I’m obsessed with Carrie. I’m in love with the book. It’s amazing, and I can relate to it so much. However, I personally think the 2013 remake is better than the original. A lot of people probably disagree, but the new one is bloodier, closer to the book, and overall better, in my opinion.”

“I love seeing actresses who are only known for doing kiddie stuff step out of their comfort zones and do bloody horror films. I would have loved to see someone like Miranda Cosgrove star in the most recent Carrie remake.”

“This may sound weird, but watching the opening locker room scene of Carrie makes me kind of jealous, because all the girls look so comfortable with themselves and their naked bodies, bouncing around and giggling. I wish I had that kind of confidence. Was everything that awesome in the 70’s?”

“I see people saying the Carrie remake is better than the original and i just can’t see it. The remake is horrible, in my opinion. The death scenes were gorier than they needed or had to be. Carrie looked like she enjoyed killing everyone in the gym, in the remake, and it was much less terrifying than Sissy Spacek’s portrayal. Not to mention, not one got out of the FUCKING gym in the original, except Sue. The Remake just really pisses me off, Okay?”

“The new Carrie did not live up to its R rating at all. Take out a couple uses of “f*ck” and it easily could have been a hard PG-13. Not even any nudity? I’m not saying this to be a pervert, but the nudity in the original created a weird hormonal atmosphere that made a much greater impact when Carrie got her period. The fact that she was naked made her look even more helpless and exposed. In the remake everything is so awkwardly positioned you think she’s bleeding out of her knee or something.”

“When I first got my period at age 12 my mom recited the line from Carrie: “After the blood come the boys!” We both started laughing.”
