“Most of my friends think I’m crazy for not hating all the killers from Horror movies, but I can’t bring myself to dislike them. Take Freddy Krueger for example, sure he kills kids, but only because the police took his daughter away. Even at the end of ‘Freddy’s Dead’ he told Catherine that he loved her and tried to be a good Father. I know he’s bad now, but only because of that. I could never hate someone that went through something like that.”
“It really bothers me that in the Nightmare on Elm street remake they rewrote Freddy Kreuger as basically a pedophile. He was a much better character in the originals. This is a huge reason I don’t like the remake in anyway I felt that rewrite was just odd and unnecessary.”
Well he was a pedophile in the original they just couldn’t make it as obvious because it was the 80’s and people wouldn’t take well to it.
"I think that Jackie Earle Haley played Freddy Krueger amazingly i don’t care what anyone says , i mean Robert is the best but Jackie Earle Haley did a good job of steeping up to the plate."
“I have a crush on Dan Jordan from A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 & 5 He’s so gorgeous and cute!”
“I was so excited to watch the original Nightmare on Elm street with my girlfriend for the first time, and we enjoyed it a lot, but that ending… What the hell? Much to the bad reviews, we preferred the 2010 remake.”
“The Nightmare on Elm Street remake was Completely unnecessary, especially since the original still holds up against modern horror films.”
“I’ve seen all of the ANOES movies and have to say my favorite scene is the ‘Nice hearin from ya Carlos’ scene from Freddy’s Dead.”
“I don’t really enjoy the remake of NOES, but I love Dream Warriors.”
“When I was a little girl, my uncle had a life-size, talking animatronic of Freddy Krueger in his living room. Every time I visited his house, I’d always burst in tears and start bawling and screaming at the sight of him until my uncle put him away to the closet. Nowadays, I’m a horror aficionado who spends most of the year anxiously preparing for Halloween. And my uncle had recently given me the Kruger animatronic as a birthday gift, even though his voice box doesn’t work anymore.”
“I’ve always loved watching A Nightmare on Elm Street movies when I’m down. It’s always made me laugh and bring up my spirits. Even sometimes Freddy’s come in my dreams. I wish I could meet Robert Englund just to tell him how much joy and laughter he’s brought me”
“The Nightmare on Elm Street re-make wasn’t bad to me; it’s just that they changed so much for a remake of a movie, it took me awhile to get used to it”
“I absolutely love the ORIGINAL Nightmare on Elm Street. I love the concept, the characters and the meaning behind it. I just cant stop watching it and loving Freddy Krueger.”
“Alot of people say that the remake is often not as good as the original. Personally. I must say that I rather liked the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. The Jackie Earle Haley Freddy in that movie was to me far creepier than Robert Englund’s Freddy.”
“Freddie Kruger is the best horror villain and that is a fact. Just look at him! He is charismatic and has a great personality other than the fact that he is a murderer. He made slasher horror fun as hell.”
