“Begotten is one of the worst films i’v ever seen, its too contrasted so you can barely make anything out and its not ‘disturbing’ in the slightest. Its just arty shit.”
“I can usually watch anything. If someone tells me about some good movies, I’ll go on Amazon order them and have a horror movie marathon the next weekend. I found a copy of Begotten and for some reason I’m terrified as shit to watch it. That’s probably the only movie I will NEVER watch.”
“Begotten was the most ridiculously pretentious horror/art film ever made. It makes me sick, not because of how “gross” it is, but of how pretentious it is.”
“I get the premise of Begotten, but it isn’t horror. It’s complete art bullshit.”
“I’ve seen way too many horror films to count, but to this day, Aftermath and Begotten are the most disturbing I’ve seen. Yet, they are are my favorites by far.”
“I almost fell asleep twice trying to watch Begotten, I found it really slow, but I really liked the overall visuals of the film.”
“Begotten is the most fucked up, disturbing movie I’ve ever seen in my life”
“This may be just an odd coincidence, but I was about to watch Begotten on my laptop after hearing that it was eerie. I had started the movie when all of a sudden my laptop completely and abruptly shut off. I took out the battery pack to see if there was a problem with the battery. After looking at it for about 5 seconds, a spark flew out of nowhere. I put the battery back, and my laptop started without any problems. I haven’t attempted to watch the movie again.”
“Begotten is the only movie I can’t watch, and I’ve seen some disturbing movies”
“Begotten is an obscure one, and more art-film than horror, but I’ve never been left with such an unshakable feeling of unease as after I saw that film.”
